The Underground Art club meets on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Participants meet to hone their skills and share their personal art experiences. They bring their own easels and projects, while the club coordinates different guest artists - from degreed instructors to members with a lifetime of experience - to teach and share their talents in all media. Current members work in a wide range of media, from oil to water color and sketching, with new members at all skill levels welcome. "The Underground Art club is an environment of learning, sharing and teaching," explains founding member and West Chicago artist Kenneth LeVey. "We are continually looking to expand our base of art professionals and enthusiasts to join and share their experience and love of art." Monthly membership fees apply. However, the first visit is free, and membership fees will be waived for those persons who are currently unemployed during the economic downturn. For more information on the Underground Art club, contact Kenneth LeVey at (847) 323-1362.
